Better Business Bureau

A Better Business Bureau is a local organization comprised of businesses that are "committed to preserving marketplace ethics and consumer confidence in business." Typically, a local Better Business Bureau will provide consumers with a means to file complaints against businesses and will facilitate conflict resolution between customers and businesses.

Council of Better Business Bureaus

The Council of Better Business Bureaus (www.bbb.org) is the umbrella organization for the Better Business Bureau (BBB) system, which was founded in 1912 and is today supported by more than 380,000 local business members nationwide. The BBB system is dedicated to promoting trust between businesses and consumers, deepening consumer confidence and contributing to a flourishing business marketplace.
