Edisto Island is a city in Charleston County in South Carolina.
Edisto Island is one of South Carolina's Sea Islands and is a census-designated place in Charleston County. The population was 2,301 at the 2000 census. Edisto Island is not to be confused with the town of Edisto Beach, Colleton County, SC. As of the census of 2000, there were 2,301 people, 1,030 households, and 685 families residing in the CDP. Edisto Island is a vacation destination with activities include biking, onshore camping, golfing and horseback riding.
