FreshBooks
FreshBooks is Accounting-related software accessible to businesses as a web-based service (also called, "web application" or "software-as-a-service (SaaS)") through a monthly subscription.
Product overview
FreshBooks works with a company's accounting software to enable ways to track time and send invoices to clients. It was originally created for freelancers, teams, and subscription services to "save time, get paid faster, and look more professional." Freelancers or businesses can use the service to send invoices using traditional "snail mail" via the postal service. The invoice goes through the mail to your client. When your client gets that invoice in the mail they can access their own online account, with their account history, and, if you permit it, your clients can pay you online via credit card, Google Checkout or PayPal.
Pricing
Free version if you have three or less clients to bill. Prices range in increments from $19 (up to 25 clients) to $149 per month (up to 5,000 clients per month).
The Small Business Web
FreshBooks is a member of The Small Business Web, a loose coalition of independent web-based Software as a Service companies that provide services to small businesses. The software offered by the participating companies, some of whom compete with one-another, all utilize open APIs and are intended to integrate information and workflow data seamlessly among the various products.
