Help:How to create a SmallBusiness.com entry
Things to review before creating a new entry
- You must be registered and logged in to create a new page.
- You should review the SmallBusiness.com entry name policy for guidelines about names of entries.
- You can find various How-tos, tools and aides for creating and editing an entry at the SmallBusiness.com Help Hub.
There are 3 ways to create a new entry
The URL, location bar method
Start with the URL (the web address) displayed in your browser on any SmallBusiness.com page. For example, on this page, it should look like:http://smallbusiness.com/wiki/Help:How_to_create_a_SmallBusiness.com_entry
In the web-address window of your browser change the portion of the URL Help:How_to_create_a_SmallBusiness.com_entry to a string of words that are the name of the new entry you would like to create. For example, if you wanted to start a new entry about the Roman Empire (we picked a topic that you're not likely to actually find on Smallbusiness.com), then the URL you would want to type into your web-address window would look like this:
http://smallbusiness.com/wiki/Roman empire
Once you change the URL, hit return and you will go to a page on Smallbusiness.com where you can start editing your new entry.
However, before you do that, please take some time to review the SmallBusiness.com entry name policy. And please notice that URLs on SmallBusiness.com are case sensitive, so try to follow the conventions outlined in our policy regarding what words should appear in upper and lower case.

The non-page link method
Anywhere you see a word that is the color red on SmallBusiness.com, the link goes to a non-page, the term given to not yet created pages which have a link to them. To create a page, simply click on a non-page link and follow the edit-this-page link.
The input box method
This is easy: Type the name of the entry you'd like to create and click the button.
